After Hours Wednesday - September 19


Served in the Fellowship Hall $7 for adults and $5 for children ages 3 to 10 with a $24 family maximum. On the menu this week: Spaghetti and meatballs, green beans, garlic bread, salad, and dessert.


Reservation deadline - Tuesdays at noon.


•STUDY WITH PASTOR LYNN MALONE - Growing a Godly Marriage. Held in Room 12 (Generation Hope Classroom).

• STUDY WITH PASTOR JOHNNY HANKINS - Studying the book of Matthew. Held in the Fellowship Hall.

•WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY - Studying the book Keep It Shut by Karen Ehman. Facilitated by Megan McClanahan and held in the Garden Room.

• RISE LIFE (7TH - 12TH GRADE) - Upstairs Youth Area.

• BRIDGE (4TH, 5TH & 6TH GRADE) - Meet in the K2 Room. 

• KID’S KINGDOM (K - 3RD GRADE) - Meet in the K2 Room.

• NURSERY - Provided for ages 6 weeks to 4 years. 3 and 4 year olds participate in their own Bible lesson and activities. All nursery children meet in the 3 year old classroom. (Across from the K2 Room)


Monday, September 17 is Mackinaw Island and Great Lakes region informational meeting and slide presentation at 5:30pm in Room #6 for those interested in the church trip.  Brochures are posted on bulletin boards throughout the church.


IT’S TIME FOR THE PUMPKIN PATCH!! Pumpkins will be here Tuesday, September 27 at 4:00 p.m. with taco soup in the Fellowship Hall to follow. Be sure to check the great hall to sign up to volunteer for your shift in October as well. 


50+ ADULT SINGLES will meet for dinner on Thurs., Sept. 27th, at Walk-Ons Bistreaux in West Monroe at 6pm. Wear your favorite team colors or sports jersey! RSVP to Kathie Hebert or Nannette Flowers if you plan to attend. 


BRIDGE 5TH SUNDAY ACTIVITY - Fall in Love with Jesus on September 30th at 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

LOSING A FAMILY MEMBER is never easy. A bereavement meal is just one way the church reaches out to the families in their time of sorrow. Meals are prepared for families of church members when there is a death in their immediate family. If you are interested in preparing food for a bereavement meal or serving with this ministry, please call or text Kathy Duke at (318-547-6420) or email her at 


ADULT DRIVERS NEEDED to transport church members to and from worship service on Sunday mornings. If you feel led to serve in this ministry, please contact Nannette Flowers at or 318-325-7335. 


THE GLORIA GARDEN, the outside entry to our sanctuary, is in need of an update!! We are seeking interested people to help us determine the best way to improve the garden, as well as to discuss how best to proceed to update and utilize the garden. If you might be interested in helping with this committee, please contact Delora Walker at 348-3520. 


OWL SALSAS AND JELLIES (mayhaw, plum, blueberry, Bayou DeVille's crawfish pepper) are for sale from the table located by the church office door. Jelly is $6 and salsa is $5 a jar. Proceeds benefit the United Methodist Children's Home in Ruston.

NEW TESTAMENT BIBLE STUDY, Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. Lue Reynolds will be leading us through the books of 1 & 2 Peter. Everyone is invited to join us.
