Served in the Fellowship Hall $7 for adults and $5 for children ages 3 to 10 with a $24 family maximum. On the menu this week: Pizza, salad and dessert.

•STUDY WITH PASTOR LYNN - Studying the book of Genesis. Held in the Fellowship Hall.

• MEN’S BIBLE STUDY - Men from all walks of life, learning to live Godly lives, facilitated by Mitch Reppond and held in Room 12 (Generation Hope Classroom) 

•WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY - Facilitated by Megan McClanahan and held in the Garden Room, will begin its new study on Jonah. Come learn how to redefine life’s interruptions!

• RISE LIFE (7TH - 12TH GRADE) - Held in the Youth Room. 

• BRIDGE (4TH, 5TH & 6TH GRADE) - Meet in the K2 Room. 

• KID’S KINGDOM (K - 3RD GRADE) - Meet in the K2 Room.

• NURSERY - Provided for ages 6 weeks to 4 years. 3 and 4 year olds participate in their own Bible lesson and activities. All nursery children meet in the 3 year old classroom. 


MAYHAW & PLUM JELLY, made by FUMC members, has been restocked on the OWL salsa and jelly table located by the church office door. Jelly is $6 and salsa is $5 a jar. Proceeds benefit the United Methodist Children’s Home in Ruston. 


SPECIAL CHARGE CONFERENCE will be held at FUMC, April 16 to consider the recommendation of Edward Hall to the District Committee on Ministry to be approved as a Certified Candidate.  


INTERESTED IN JOINING FUMC MONROE? Our next First Connection Class will be April 22 at 4:00 p.m. in the church parlor. The first step to membership at FUMC Monroe is to attend First Connection. Call Linda in the church office & register. Childcare is provided upon request.


BOOK NOOK will meet Sunday, April 22 at 4pm in the library to discuss Richard Paul Evans’ The Noel Diary (fiction- library has 7 copies) and/or Erik Larson’s The Devil in the White City (historical fiction- Library has 3 copies.)  All are welcome!


UMW SCHOOL BAG SEW DAY will be April 24 at 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Garden Room. Please come and help make school bags again. We need workers to cut, press and sew. If you want to help press, please bring a steam iron and an ironing surface. If you can sew and have a portable sewing machine please bring your machine and usual sewing supplies. Lunch will be provided. If you have any questions or would like to sew some at home, please contact Christie McRight at 325-0652. 


THE ULM WESLEY FOUNDATION'S ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT will be held Saturday, April 28 at Frenchman's Bend in Monroe. Tee time is 1:30pm. The cost is $400 for a team of four or $100 per individual. SENIOR RECOGNITION SUNDAY is April 29! If you know a graduating senior please submit their information to Natalie Johnson at by April 15 with the following: name, high school, special recognition, plans after graduation if decided, and picture. 


JOINS US for an Egg-stra great time at our Bridge Egg-Stravaganza April 29th 5:30-7:30.There will be a parent meeting from 7 to 7:30 to discuss our summer activities. Everyone entering the 4th, 5th, and 6th, grades next year are invited to this event.

THE CHANCEL CHOIR has been invited to sing at the Paris Choral Festival and commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of D-Day and Liberation of France July 2 - 9, 2019. This is a great honor for our Chancel Choir to have received this invitation. It is with great joy that they have accepted the invitation and now begin the planning and rehearsing for this wonderful opportunity. The choir will sing and lay a wreath at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial near Omaha beach. site of the June 6, 1944 invasion. They will then travel on to Paris for the Choral Festival and perform in the La Madeleine church built by Napoleon during his reign. The church was heavily bombed during the liberation but was rebuilt following the war. Though this is a working trip for the choir there will be time for seeing the sights as well. It is open not only to choir members but church members as well. If you would like to join the choir for this wonderful trip, please see Rev. Alexander for more information.
