VALENTINE'S DAY BRUNCH FOR WIDOWS & WIDOWERS is Wednesday, February 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Genusa's Restaurant.

 

BRIDGE TABLE CAPTAINS, don't forget to call in your table reservation to Nannette Flowers by noon Monday, February 12 for our Wednesday, February 14 Bridge Day in the Friendship Classroom from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

NEXT SUNDAY, February 18 we will receive a special offering for our mission team to Chile. Please pray about how you can support this team and send them into the world for Christ.

 

FUMC TUESDAY QUILTING BEES are displaying quilted items at the 2018 Quilt Show presented by the North Louisiana Quilter's Guild at the Monroe Civic Center on Friday, February 23 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 24 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Admission is $5.

 

BOOK NOOK will meet in the Library on Sunday, February 25 at 4:00 p.m. to discuss Karen Kingsbury’s new novel, In This Moment, a story about an after-school Bible Study, the nuances of religious freedom and the cost of the fight. Ouachita Parish Public Library has 9 copies.  All are welcome.

 

RISE STUDENTS will be holding a fundraiser March 18 to raise money for their two summer trips this year. Stay tuned for more info! Your support is greatly appreciated! 

 

OWL SALSAS AND JELLIES are available for purchase at the table located by the church office door.  Jelly is $6 and salsa is $5 a jar.  Proceeds benefit the United Methodist Children’s Home in Ruston. 

 

INTERESTED IN JOINING FUMC MONROE? Our next First Connection Class will be February 25 at 4:00 p.m. in the church parlor. The first step to membership at FUMC Monroe is to attend First Connection. Call Linda in the church office & register. Childcare is provided upon request.
