This is a great honor for our Chancel Choir to have received this invitation. It is with great joy that they have accepted the invitation and now begin the planning and rehearsing for this wonderful opportunity. The choir will sing and lay a wreath at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial near Omaha beach. site of the June 6, 1944 invasion. They will then travel on to Paris for the Choral Festival and perform in the La Madeleine church built by Napoleon during his reign. The church was heavily bombed during the liberation but was rebuilt following the war. Though this is a working trip for the choir there will be time for seeing the sights as well. It is open not only to choir members but church members as well. If you would like to join the choir for this wonderful trip, please see Rev. Alexander for more information.
