UPDATED 04.28.16

-We are working with the national organization, "Samaritan's Purse," to meet the needs of those outside of our immediate sphere. Samaritan's Purse is working with our local agencies to identify, prioritize, and meet the needs of our community. They mobilize from White's Ferry Road Church at 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. each day (except Sunday). Any person 18 or older can show up 30 minutes early, complete a safety training and sign a waiver, and then work anytime with the groups being deployed (only necessary to do the training/waiver once). Law enforcement is discouraging unofficial groups from going door to door of people they do not know and offering help, due to liability and safety concerns. For questions about Samaritan's Purse, or to get your home on their list, call 318-805-1897.

-We, as a church, have taken on the Northeast Louisiana Food Bank as our part to help our community. We are receiving Gatorade, water, individually wrapped snacks, canned goods, and box meals at the church and are encouraging everyone to donate. We will transport large shipments to the Food Bank on a regular basis. We are also taking cash/check offerings for the Food Bank.

-Please share this information via Facebook, and all other means, to help as many people know how to meet needs/have their needs met most effectively.

Our prayers are with our community, our workers, our first responders, and our civic leadership as we navigate this difficult time together. God has done great things already through all of your efforts and will continue to do even more.
