40 LETTERS OF LOVE - Our church will be writing 40 Letters of Love during Lent this year. Think of someone who would like or need a letter of encouragement or blessing, pray for them, and write them a letter. Contact: Barbara Potts 345-5042 or Barbara.potts@att.net


CHILDREN’S MINISTRY putting together Chemo Care Packages to deliver to Oncology Associates. All children bring items (list below), 4th & 5th grade will have lunch and put them together Sunday, March 13th from 12:00-3:00 p.m. Contact: Kim Winterman 318-465-2577 (We need the following items: Pocket size lotions, Pocket size hand sanitizer, Comfy socks, Packs of mechanical pencils, Packs of nice pens, Small size journals, Chap Stick, Tissue Packets & Packs of gum). Please drop the items off in the K2 Room by FEBRUARY 21ST. Thank You!


DESIARD STREET SHELTER - A group from our church will be pouring a concrete slab on Saturday, March 5th for the Desiard Street Shelter to have a bike rack. Contact: Nicole West 225-505-0208

THE FRIENDSHIP SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS serves lunch at the Desiard Street Shelter once per month. The next sched- uled time is Monday, March 14th from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Contact: Kathy Hunt 355-9031


HOPE STREET MINISTRIES feeds the homeless each Sunday afternoon under the 6th St. Overpass from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Contact: Ron Carr 547-0920


LOUISIANA PURCHASE GARDENS & ZOO - Our church is a title sponsor for the Easter Eggstravaganza, the community Easter event at the Louisiana Purchase Gardens & Zoo. Help is needed both on the day of the event, and leading up to the event. Contact: Heather Moore 329-2138 or 376-2501


MEALS ON WHEELS prepares and delivers meals to shut-ins and other needy recipients. The next scheduled meal date is Saturday, March 26th from 8:00-11:00 a.m. Contact: Carol Rodgers 348-2719


THE METHODIST MENDERS gather one Saturday each month to build wheelchair ramps for those in need. Next sched- uled build is Saturday, March 5th. Contact: Jim Rodgers


THE METHODIST MENDERS FIX-IT-TEAM gathers regularly during the week to undertake small maintenance projects for those in need. Contact: Wayne Kelley 547-6424 


THE OASIS SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS will be collecting canned goods to store and then distribute to those in need. Contact: Linda Walker 325-7335


THE OASIS SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS will be going to the Eros United Methodist Church property that we own and doing some light maintenance on the grounds and clean up in the building. Contact: Marc and Kathy Thomas 680-1895


OWL CENTER - A group from our church will be going to make salsa at the OWL Center in Dubach, with proceeds going to support the United Methodist Children’s Home. Two days are available, Thursday, February 18th & Tuesday, February 23rd. Leave the church at 9:00 a.m. and return between 3:00-5:00 p.m. Contact: Nannette White 325-7335


RESTORE - A group from our church will be helping clean/or- ganize the ReStore Warehouse for Habitat for Humanity. Two dates are available: Tuesday, February 16th & Tuesday, March 15th beginning at 9:00 a.m. each day. Contact: Chris Winterman 318-465-1031


RISE, the student Ministry of FUMC Monroe, will be holding its annual 30 Hour Famine Saturday-Sunday, February 27th-28th where they will fast for 30 hours to raise money to feed children around the world through World Vision. Contact: Natalie Johnson 318-518-8429


THE SOUL COUNCIL will be collecting socks and various baby items for those in need from March 13th-March 18th. Contact: Kristin Gay 318-376-4053


SOUPER SATURDAY prepares and delivers soup to shut-ins and other needy recipients one Saturday each month. Saturday, February 13th is the next scheduled date. Contact: Jane Ellet 547-5341


STAIR - A group from our church provides STAIR Program tutoring in reading for elementary students each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon during the school year. Contact: Rita Stafford 547-6948


ST. JOSEPH’S HOME - A group from our church leads a worship service at St. Joseph’s Home one Sunday each month. The next scheduled service is Sunday, February 28th from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Contact: Gene Baker - hr@robertsonproduce.net


TWIN CITIES GLASS - A group from our church will be picking up litter around the old Twin Cities Glass Building on Louisville Avenue. Contact: David Sorell - sorellfive@att.net

WARM UP AMERICA - Brenda Rowan and Brenna Davis will be leading a group to make blanket squares for Warm Up America, a group that provides blankets for those in need from infants to adults. Contact: Brenda Rowan 387-4935
